Addictions Nursing

In her book: ‘The Language of Kindness. A nurse’s Story’ Christie Watson offers us a glimpse in how nurses provide nursing care. She is telling the world that we need to do this with our heads and our hearts. But our famous predecessor and wise nurse Florence Nightingale taught us a third very important dimension namely our hands.

So addictions nursing is a way of handing over care strategies by using your heart, head and hands. How we want to do this in Europe can be read below including some information about the Netherlands and about addiction treatment in the Netherlands.

IntNSA's Mission: To advance excellence in nursing care for the prevention and treatment of addictions for diverse populations across all practice setting through advocacy, collaboration, education, research and policy development.
